SweeDeePie Cheesecakes began as a personal challenge. We were attending an annual family Christmas dinner and was treated to a sweet potato cheesecake in a pie shell. Neither one of us had ever baked a cheesecake, but we fell in love with the cake and set about creating our own. We made several rejects but eventually were successful. We carried our sweet potato layered cheesecake to the next Christmas dinner and the rest is history.

We began to create other flavors from our own ideas and from the ideas of others. We take great care to make all of our cheesecakes by hand. The rich creamy gourmet tastes evolves from the best ingredients.

With a dessert as good as our cheesecakes, we needed a name that was unique and descriptive. We began with the "sweet potato" in a "pie shell". Our granddaughter called me " Granddaddy Sweetie", thus the name "SweeDeePie Cheesecakes".
